Where is it?
Once you’ve connected the integration, you’ll see a new Salesforce Lookup option in the Attendees tab:
How MeetMax references Salesforce data
MeetMax accesses Contact records in Salesforce, and their associated Account records.
- We import names, phone and cell numbers, and email addresses from Contact records.
- We import business addresses from the associated Account records.
As an option, you can associate one of your Salesforce Campaigns with MeetMax. If you do, each time there’s a new registration for your event in MeetMax, we’ll automatically associate the Contact with that Salesforce Campaign.
Importing an Attendee from Salesforce
With the integration connected, you can access your Salesforce Contact records from MeetMax.
- Step 1. In MeetMax, head to the Attendees tab. Choose Salesforce Lookup:
- Step 2. Next, you’ll search your Salesforce database for the Contact you need to import. Choose a search option from the menu:
- Step 3. We’ll search by Company Name here. That pulls in all Salesforce Contacts that are associated with this Account:
- Step 4. Use the Import button to import any of these records:
- Step 5. You’ll now see a pop-up with your Attendee registration form. MeetMax has populated it with data from Salesforce.
- You can make any edits you need. If your form has any required fields (like the Username field below), be sure to add data to those.
- Click Submit to save the new registration:
- Step 6. You can now use the submenu to head to the Attendee List. You’ll see the new registrant there:
- Learn more about working with the Attendee List here.
Giving a Contact access to self-register
As an alternative, you can also give your Contacts a special link to register themselves in MeetMax. This link references your Salesforce data and populates the registration form automatically.
- Step 1. In MeetMax, head to the Configure tab. Choose Reference Links:
- Step 2. On the Reference Links page, copy the Salesforce Validation link:
- Step 3. Paste this link into any communications you’re sending to your Salesforce Contacts.
- Step 4. When the Contact clicks this link, they’re taken to a MeetMax validation page.
- The Contact enters their last name and email address, and clicks the Login button. Then MeetMax matches that data to an existing Salesforce record:
-
The last name and email entered here must match the Salesforce Contact record. Otherwise MeetMax can’t recognize the Contact. The Email Address field is case-sensitive. - Step 5. The Contact is then taken to the MeetMax registration form, which is populated from the Salesforce record. The Contact can enter any other information needed, and click Submit to register:
