In an Unmoderated meeting program, you might want your Attendees to be able to send each other messages within MeetMax. These can be useful, for example, if people need to ask each other questions before booking a meeting.
Enabling messaging
- Step 1. Head to the Configure tab. Choose Event Settings, then Enable Features:
- Step 2. Scroll to the Notifications section. Under Allow users to send messages independent of meeting request, choose Yes:
- Step 3. Scroll to the bottom of the page and click Save:
Customizing the display
By default, the Message option displays in a menu, like this:
You can update that display from your Admin account.
- Step 1. Head to the Attendee List:
- Step 2. From any Attendee’s record, use the Action menu to choose Request Meeting:
- Step 3. In the top right corner of the Request Meeting page, click Settings. Then choose Edit Settings:
- Step 4. Set Separate message action to Yes. Then click Save as default. This setting now applies to all Attendees:
How Attendees send messages
When an Attendee logs into MeetMax, they’ll head to the Meeting Requests tab:
For each Attendee, there’s now a Message link:
Clicking the Message link brings up a message form. The Attendee can add a subject and the body of the message:
They can optionally add a downloadable vCard, or .vcf file, of contact information.
If they check the Attach vCard box, they can also click the gear icon and customize the details included in the vCard:
When the Attendee clicks Submit, the message goes to the recipient’s email and MeetMax Inbox. The recipient can reply from either place.
