Whether you want to check on a wording change, run a test registration, or try out an Attendee process, MeetMax offers easy preview options.

In this article:

Where is it?

You’ll preview web pages from the Configure tab:

To preview participant pages or add test users, you’ll start from either the Attendees or Companies tabs:

Previewing your event web pages

As you work on your event’s public website, you can check on it any time.

Head to the Configure tab and choose Reference Links:

The options you see on the Reference Links page will depend on how your event is set up.

You’ll see an Open button for each of your event’s public web pages. Click, and the page opens in a new browser window so you can view it.

To see the event website MeetMax creates for you, use the Public Site button:

To test your registration process, use the Attendee Registration or Company Registration buttons:

On these pages, you can try out your event registration using a test user name and email address.

That will create test user records in your account, which you can then use to test other processes. (See the section below on test users.)

Previewing any participant’s account pages

Every Attendee and Company that registers for your event will have a MeetMax account, where they’ll schedule meetings, sign up for activities, monitor their schedule, and so on.

From your Admin account, you can log in as any participant, and see what they’ll be seeing.

This is also a useful view for troubleshooting. If a participant is reporting an issue using MeetMax, you can log in and try the same steps they’re trying.

To log in as a participant, head to the Attendee List or the Company List (depending on which role the participant has):

Filter the list to locate the participant you need. Then click the Login button:

The participant’s account will open in a new window. You can navigate all of the pages and see exactly what the participant sees:

To exit the account, close the browser window.

From your Admin account, you can also access a backend view of any participant’s account. The Admin view is designed for convenience while you’re doing backend work, so it doesn’t exactly match what the participant sees.

Adding a test user

It can be very helpful to set up a test Attendee and/or Company account. That gives you a safe space to try out the various tasks your participants will be doing in MeetMax.

MeetMax allows an email address to be used once. So when you create a test user, use a different email address than the one on your Admin account.

To add a test Attendee, head to the Attendees tab.

Learn more about adding an Attendee here:

To add a test Company, head to the Companies tab.

Once you create test users, you can log in as them (see the section above) and test any processes you like.

When you’re ready, you can delete your test users.
