Where is it?
MeetMax’s automated emails have two zones where you can insert custom content.
Below is an example of a registration confirmation email. The customizable zones are marked in yellow:

| This sample email is using the default email wrapper. |
In these spots, you can add custom text and images (and update them anytime). In MeetMax, these content insertions are called Messages.
You’ll edit all Messages from the Configure tab:

How are automated emails used?
MeetMax has automated email templates for these situations:
- Registration confirmations with login details
- Registration approvals (if you’re using them)
- Payment notifications (if you’re using them)
- Attendee-to-Attendee meeting programs
MeetMax has multiple versions of these types of emails, because we offer many different ways to manage registration.
Our Support team will set up the correct automated emails for your event’s structure.
Customizing the Message zones of an automated email
For this example, we’ll add a custom Message to the email that confirms an Attendee’s registration.
We’ll add a welcome message, a photo of the venue, and some instructions for the new registrant.
- Step 1. Head to the Configure tab. Choose Site Design, then Messages:

- Step 2. On the Messages page, set the Filter to With Custom Messages.
- That will display only the Messages our team has set up for your event:

- Step 3. At this point, you might recognize the message you need to customize in the filtered list.
- If not, you might need to:
- • Add another filter to help you locate it, as shown below. Learn more about filtering the Messages list here.
- • Ask our Support team which Message to customize.

- Step 4. When you’ve located the Message, click the tag icon to open it for editing:

- Step 5. Now, it’s time to choose which zone of this email you want to add content to.
- • TOP places your content above the automated content.
- • BOTTOM places your content below the automated content.
- You can add Messages to one or both areas. In this example, we’ll insert a TOP message:

- Step 6. When you choose a zone, that opens the custom content editor. You can add text, images, and links here.
- Click Submit to save:

You can return to this Message at any point during your event, and change the content. Participants who receive the email after that point will see the new version automatically.
| Copying and pasting directly from a Word document can create formatting issues. Instead, paste your text into a Notepad app first to remove all formatting. Then paste into the MeetMax editor. | |
| If you want to add merge fields to pull personalized details into a Message, reach out to our Support team. |
Previewing the email
When you’ve saved your changes to the Message, you’ll be able to preview how it looks in the email.
Head to the top right corner of the editor and click the View Sample link:
