MeetMax sends email via SendGrid - a well-established, reliable, reputable email handler for third party systems used by many of the largest internet services.
Sent E-mail Logs
In MeetMax, you can track the status of sent e-mails by navigating to "Email" --> "Email Logs" --> "Emails". Here, you will see all of the e-mail which has been generated by your event (whether it was sent individually, via batch, or automatically generated by the system).
Alternatively, you can also view sent e-mail statistics by batch. This will help you understand - from a broader perspective - how successful your e-mail coming out of MeetMax is in reaching the intended audience.
What do the different status options indicate?
Some of them are very obvious, like "delivered" vs. "open". But what does "click" mean? How about "bounce" vs. "drop"?
Our partners at SendGrid have a very helpful page describing the Nine Events of Email. Please check out their site and feel free to contact MeetMax Technical Services should you have any additional questions.
How do I make sure mail reaches it destination?
Your IT folks may have upgraded your firewall recently and as a result you need to add our servers to your internal "white list" of approved or "trusted" senders.
IP Addresses to "Trust"
-
- 198.21.6.131
- o1.em.meetmax.com
As background, as with any third-party email system, when MeetMax generates emails, the sending "From" address is a yourdomain.com address, but the server address is meetmax.com.
Your firewall is comparing the "From" address to the sending server address and seeing inconsistencies that the firewall interprets as spam. Adding the IP addresses to the firewall settings should fix the problem.
Why do links in e-mail start with em.meetmax.com?
By using a robust e-mail delivery service we are able to offer link-tracking in e-mail which is generated from MeetMax.
In order for this link-tracking to work correctly the links sent out via e-mail are converted to microsite links beginning with em.meetmax.com.
When you see a status in the e-mail logs of "click" this tells you that the recipient clicked through one of the links in the message.
