Why Use a Passkey Connection to MeetMax?

Event planners have conflicting issues:

On one hand they would like to know what reservations they attendees have made.   The event has a large hotel block, and it is vital to avoid attrition payments if the full block of rooms is not sold.  Knowing exactly who has a reservation allows the planner to remarket the block to people who have not booked a room.

However, if the planner runs the hotel reservation process entirely in MeetMax - then they have placed themselves in the middle of the transaction and have created work for themselves.   They need to tell the hotel who has booked.  they need to gather a credit card in some way (MeetMax can help with this via encrypted email transmission - but MeetMax will not store credit card details in the database).  They need to get confirmation numbers from the hotel and enter them into MeetMax so the attendee can see it.   A lot of work.

But if they simply redirect the attendee to the Hotel website - then they constantly have to ask the hotel for reservation details.   And if they wish to email people with no reservation - then they need to capture that hotel information in MeetMax somehow.  Also a lot of work.

Connecting MeetMax to your block via Passkey is the best of both worlds.  In reserving a room, the attendee starts in MeetMax with the checkin /checkout dates and it forwarded to Passkey to complete the reservation - upon completion of which is passed back to MeetMax with the confirmation number.

MeetMax has the details and the conformation number so all the remarketing is easy - and seeing how many attendees have a room.   But the planner never has to handle a credit card or get involved in the transaction.
