Changing or Deleting the main company contact in Groups Mode

In Groups mode in MeetMax, individual Reps who are Admins have agency over the company as a whole.  This is the right mode where there is no single marketing person managing everything for the company - but rather individual reps take actions as a group.

 

In this Mode - companies need a main Contact person/Admin - without one the company is rudderless.   But there are situations where a main Contact is no longer coming and needs to be canceled.  OR where for some reason the main Contact needs to be deleted and re-entered as a different kind of attendee role.  It is important to replace the main Contact first.

 

Take this example- Prime Contact is one of two Reps for Company1 - but is the main contact.

 

There is a colleague - Secondary Rep.  Do not try and delete Prime Contact unless there is a colleague waiting to fill the spot.

So before deleting Prime Contact - make sure you have the "Is Company Contact" and "Is Company Admin" fields showing on the Rep form.  Set both to No for Prime Contact.

Then set them both to Yes for Secondary Rep

Now go ahead and delete the record for Prime Contact

 

You are now ready to re-add Prime Contact of Company1 as a different role, or leave that person canceled.  Either way, you have established a Secondary Rep now as the principal contact for the company.
