Where is it?
To make a meeting request, an Attendee logs into MeetMax and clicks the Meeting Requests tab or icon:
As an Admin, you can also make a meeting request on behalf of an Attendee. You’ll do this from the Attendee List page:
This article covers the default request process for Moderated meeting programs. Your event might have a different configuration than we're showing here, but the request process would be the same overall. | |
If you're running an Unmoderated meeting program, see this article. |
How Attendees make requests
In this example, an Attendee, Harold Exampl, wants to request a meeting with one of the Companies at your event.
When Harold logs into MeetMax, he’ll head to the Meeting Requests tab and choose Request Meeting:
This takes Harold to a display of Companies who are available for 1x1 meetings. He’ll locate a company he wants to meet with - Bank of Colorado.
He’ll click the Request link to submit his meeting request:
Notice that Bank of New Mexico above displays a Cancel link. That means Harold has already put in a request with this company. Bank of Orlando, on the other hand, displays a date and time. That means there’s a scheduled meeting. |
The page above is in a Tile display. Attendees can switch their page to a more compact Table display, as shown below. The request process is the same:
Making a request as an Admin
- Step 1. If you need to make a request on behalf of an Attendee, head to your Attendee List page:
- Step 2. Filter the list to locate the Attendee you need to update. Then use the Action menu to choose Request Meeting:
- Step 3. Now you’ll see the same meeting request page the Attendee sees, here in your admin account. Click the Request link for any company. That submits a meeting request for the Attendee:
-
You can toggle this view between the Tile and Table layouts as well.
How Companies receive requests
Now that our Attendee Harold has requested a meeting, let’s see what the Company sees.
Bank of Colorado logs into MeetMax, heads to the Meeting Requests tab, and clicks Received:
If Profiles are enabled for your event, Companies can view more information about Attendees. That information can help a Company decide whether to accept a meeting request. |
To accept or decline a request, the Company clicks the triangle icon to open a menu:
In this example, if Bank of Colorado accepts Harold’s request, they can then schedule a date and time for the meeting. (An event Admin will add the location later.)
If they’d rather decline Harold’s request, they can enter a decline reason. Harold then gets an email and an in-app message, which include this text:
